Absence Makes the Heart grow Fonder

I have been absent from my blog for sometime now.I opened a new booth and it has taken over my life.Recreating new finds has been fun but painstakingly slow.I had a medical mishap in my life recently. My husband had a seizure and was rushed to the hospital by rescue squad. When I got to the E.R.the doctor said"There are 2 reasons why he is here. One of the reasons he had a seizure is a mystery and we may never find out or we will find out with a cat scan.Sure enough we found out with a cat scan.My husband had a egg size tumor in his left frontal lobe.We found it to be benign, but still required surgery. So last Tuesday he had surgery and came home Sunday. So in between being the nurse, cook, cleaning lady and everything else that comes with this I will try to finish a few pieces.I will try and post some this weekend.2 new items may go in on Thursday.None of this would be possible without this wonderful husband of mine,he is my rock,my love,my strength and my life.Kiss your husbands everytime you look his way, don't take him for granted, treat him the way you want to be treated, love him every minute, love him for who he is ,for you don't know what the future holds and you don't want to regret  anything.Love is grand, don't forget that.Peace Cindy

Forgotten but Renewed

My old finds are getting a makeover and are on their way to Ally's and Countryside soon. I have taken pics and will share them this Wednesday. We have done some traveling to Florida, and now I am looking for some old pieces that need lovin'. It's amazing how people will just throw out a perfectly good piece of wood furniture. It is still able to perform and look like new (or old in my case). The furniture stores  are sad because everything is laminated, yucky, expensive and boring. Give me an old armoire or table, and I will bring it back to life. Stay tuned. Peace Cindy

Long time no see

Whew! What a crazy month April was. Both stores were hopping with Spring Flings and Garage Sales and Easter and Birthdays and traveling.Wow that's a mouthful.I have alot of new projects and am excited to show you my creations.Hopefully in a few days I will have the creations up and running.I have been finding alot of furniture that has been screaming for a new home and new coat of paint,so I have been occupied with brush in hand, turning these items into new pieces  of furniture anyone would love.I actually stumbled on to an old old chiffrobe.I have taken pic's before and the afters will be coming soon.Stay tuned.Peace.Cindy.
