Absence Makes the Heart grow Fonder
I have been absent from my blog for sometime now.I opened a new booth and it has taken over my life.Recreating new finds has been fun but painstakingly slow.I had a medical mishap in my life recently. My husband had a seizure and was rushed to the hospital by rescue squad. When I got to the E.R.the doctor said"There are 2 reasons why he is here. One of the reasons he had a seizure is a mystery and we may never find out or we will find out with a cat scan.Sure enough we found out with a cat scan.My husband had a egg size tumor in his left frontal lobe.We found it to be benign, but still required surgery. So last Tuesday he had surgery and came home Sunday. So in between being the nurse, cook, cleaning lady and everything else that comes with this I will try to finish a few pieces.I will try and post some this weekend.2 new items may go in on Thursday.None of this would be possible without this wonderful husband of mine,he is my rock,my love,my strength and my life.Kiss your husbands everytime you look his way, don't take him for granted, treat him the way you want to be treated, love him every minute, love him for who he is ,for you don't know what the future holds and you don't want to regret anything.Love is grand, don't forget that.Peace Cindy

Forgotten but Renewed
My old finds are getting a makeover and are on their way to Ally's and Countryside soon. I have taken pics and will share them this Wednesday. We have done some traveling to Florida, and now I am looking for some old pieces that need lovin'. It's amazing how people will just throw out a perfectly good piece of wood furniture. It is still able to perform and look like new (or old in my case). The furniture stores are sad because everything is laminated, yucky, expensive and boring. Give me an old armoire or table, and I will bring it back to life. Stay tuned. Peace Cindy

Paris Chic
Tons of pictures coming up. I purchased this board from a Antique dealer. I loved the size and handle. I painted it with 3 coats of white pain, and then I found these appliques. I thought they would go hand in hand. I fell in love with this stencil and there you have it - a perfect Shabby Chic Parisian sign.
Love the black and white theme
Buttons I added to the sign.
A close up of the button.
My dog Payton. He gets tired of watching me work in my den.
My Misty girl, always at my side. I just love her.
This is a vintage vanity. It was in rough shape with lipstick all over it. It really took a beating. Someone told me it could be from the 30's. Below is the new coat of paint. It's heading to Countryside Antiques this weekend.
This is a vintage dresser I picked up to go into Countryside also. Quite Shabby Chic. I don't think it will be there long.
A gentleman was throwing out this twin bed. Do you know how many customers come into Ally's Attic looking for twin beds? It will get a new look for some young girl or boy.
This is a pine end table that I found at a sale. It also took alot of abuse. Dings and holes and deep scratches. A little bit of putty and love and it is just like new. Pictures to follow in next blog.
I found this club chair at Countryside Antiques. It was calling my name! It already has a new coat of paint and a new cushion. Maybe some burlap to boot.
A brown vintage tricycle. All metal. Not very comfortable to ride but sure cute to look at. It is also headed to Countryside.
Two columns I will use as displays at my new booth. These are truly shabby.
As I was scavenging in a corner of cute little signs I found this plain white one. I painted it cream and added the finial.
This tile won't last long.
Love the color of this pillow
Sticking with my Parisian theme, I amped it up a bit.
LOVE IT!!!!!!!
A new look for an old sign
Fell in love with the flowers and burlap.Added them all together
What is not to love about his? Stay tuned for more pics and treasures I find.
There will be more pictures to follow and alot more finished products going to Countryside Antiques. Stop by and take a look.
